Breaking Cycles: Healing from Narcissistic Abuse. A personal conversation on The Advisor podcast with Stacey Chillemi.

Growing up with a narcissistic parent leaves a profound imprint on your life. It’s more than just a painful memory; it’s a cycle of toxic patterns that can follow you into adulthood, affecting your relationships, your sense of self-worth, and even your physical and emotional well-being. This journey has been a central part of my own healing story—a story I recently shared in an intimate and deeply personal conversation on The Advisor podcast with Stacey Chillemi.

Narcissists operate in a way that leaves a trail of emotional destruction. Their behaviors—manipulation, gaslighting, and the inability to empathize—can create a web of self-doubt and insecurity for those around them. For me, the damage wasn’t just limited to myself. I watched my narcissistic father impact the lives of countless women in harmful and heartbreaking ways. Witnessing their pain, along with my own, was overwhelming and left me carrying those wounds into every facet of my life.

For years, these scars manifested as burnout. Navigating the demands of adulthood while managing the emotional baggage of that abuse felt like a constant uphill battle. Motherhood, work, relationships—all of it seemed to drain me of energy I didn’t know how to replenish. Yet, through this struggle, I found a path to healing. And let me tell you: recovery is not only possible; it’s within your reach.

Healing requires us to face the cycles head-on, to understand how they’ve shaped us and make the conscious choice to break free. For me, it meant diving deep into the energetic imbalances created by years of neglect and abuse, and learning how to restore harmony within myself. It was hard work, but it was also the most transformative work of my life.

This healing journey is why I do what I do today. I’ve dedicated my life to guiding women who are struggling—whether it’s with burnout, the scars of narcissistic abuse, or simply the feeling of being lost in their own lives. My mission is to help them reconnect with their inner power and rediscover the energy, balance, and joy they deserve.

If you’ve experienced the effects of narcissistic abuse, whether from a parent or a romantic partner, I want you to know that you’re not alone. These patterns may feel unbreakable, but healing is possible. Sometimes, all it takes is someone to truly listen and hear your voice. If that’s what you need, I’m here.
